Incredible tourism profits for Bahía de Banderas.

Bahía de Banderas managed to attract around $76 million during the Easter and Holy Week holiday period, with an average occupancy rate of 82.57% according to the municipal Tourism office. This means that occupancy records were broken, leading to one of the best tourism years in Bahía de Banderas.

Last year, Bahía de Banderas had an exemplary tourist influx with 130,000 tourists during the 15-day holiday period, while this year's occupancy record is remarkable. There are many reasons for this, as we are talking about national tourism with a strengthened economy and international tourism from the best in the world.

During Easter week, hotel occupancy was 85.31% with 90,704 rooms occupied and an influx of 31,987 tourists. This generated an economic impact of $42 million. Meanwhile, during Holy Week, hotel occupancy was only 79.8% with 84,899 rooms occupied in the hotel sector and an influx of 25,984 tourists, generating an economic impact of $34 million for all residents of Bahía de Banderas.

Undoubtedly, Mexican tourism is moving forward steadily with notable growth, despite the attacks suffered at the Ecuadorian embassy and the significant ambiguity of the Canadian and U.S. governments. Mexico is a beloved country in the world, and on the other hand, the growth of the national economy is also evident. Through the support of Welfare programs, people have had the opportunity to recover their own economy and thus afford enjoyable vacations.
